Coach Neiswander Bio

Josh Neiswander is the President of Old School Quarterbacks. He played QB in the CFL for the Montreal Alouettes & was the all-time leading passer in school history at Angelo State University. Most recently, he was the QB coach for the XFL’s San Antonio Brahmas & Tampa Bay Vipers. Josh played QB for Coach Marc Trestman in Montreal & coached under him as the QB coach in Tampa.

Josh brings a wealth of experience to OSQB, drawing on years of coaching and playing in the world of sports. With a Master of Business Administration from Angelo State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, he possesses a strong academic foundation to complement his practical expertise.

In his coaching career, Josh has made significant contributions to various teams. As the Quarterbacks Coach for the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL, he worked under the guidance of Head Coach and former Super Bowl MVP, Hines Ward.

Prior to that, at Gilmer High School, he coached and developed quarterbacks across all grades, leading the program to back-to-back State Championship appearances.

Josh’s coaching tenure extends beyond football. He served as the Head Coach for Varsity Boys Basketball and Offensive Coordinator for JV Football at Gilmer High School.

At Winnsboro High School, he took on multiple roles, including Head Coach for Varsity Baseball, Defensive Coordinator for Varsity Football, and Head Coach for Varsity Boys Basketball and Boys & Girls Golf.

On the playing field, Josh’s talent as a quarterback shone through. He showcased his skills with the Alouettes in the Canadian Football League, playing under the guidance of Head Coach Marc Trestman, a former NFL Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. During his college years at Angelo State University, he led the team as captain, broke numerous passing records, and earned the prestigious Holland’s Award for his outstanding contributions both on and off the field.

With his extensive experience, dedication, and passion for sports, Josh is an invaluable asset to any team or organization, poised to make a lasting impact in the field of coaching and beyond.
